Performance Indicator

A performance indicator is a metric or measure that is used to evaluate the success or effectiveness of a business, process, or system. Performance indicators are used to track and assess the progress of a business towards its goals and objectives.

Performance indicators can be used to measure a wide range of business activities, including:

  • Financial performance: indicators such as revenue, profit, and return on investment can be used to measure the financial performance of a business.
  • Customer satisfaction: indicators such as customer satisfaction scores or net promoter scores can be used to measure the level of satisfaction of the business’s customers.
  • Operational efficiency: indicators such as cycle time, error rate, or capacity utilization can be used to measure the efficiency of the business’s operations.
  • Employee performance: indicators such as productivity, turnover rate, or absenteeism can be used to measure the performance of the business’s employees.

People

The symbol people, represents the human actors or stakeholders involved in the ecosystem. These may include customers, employees, partners, suppliers, and other individuals or groups that have a direct or indirect impact on the businesses within the ecosystem.

For example, in an online retail ecosystem, the people symbol might represent customers who shop at various online retailers, employees who work for those retailers, or delivery drivers who deliver the products to customers. In a healthcare ecosystem, the people symbol might represent patients, healthcare providers, researchers, or regulators.

Part of Product

Part of product in a business diagram refers to the relationship between different parts or components of a product within a larger system. A product can be any physical or digital item that is sold or used by a business, such as a piece of software, a manufactured item, or a service.

Arrows or lines may be used to show the relationships and connections between these components. For example, a line might connect a raw material to a sub-assembly to represent how the raw material is transformed into a component of the final product. Similarly, a line might connect a sub-assembly to the finished product to represent how the component is assembled into the final product.
