EA Governance

Governance is the main core element in enterprise architecture:

EA governance identifies the planning, decision-making, and oversight processes and groups that will determine how the enterprise architecture needs to be developed and maintained as part of the enterprise’s overall governance.

Enterprise architecture contributes to an integrated governance of the enterprise:

Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) is a management practice that establishes, maintains and uses a coherent set of guidelines, architecture principles and governance regimes that provide direction for and practical help with the design and the development of an enterprise’s architecture in order to achieve its vision and strategy (Ahlemann et al. 2012, p. 20).
